John May is the coach that changed my career as an athlete. He believed in me before I truly believed in myself, and helped me to get out of my own way. His relentless drive, infectious positivity, unwavering belief, and commitment to excellence, meant we left no stone unturned as a team to accomplish what many others believed was impossible.
His selflessness and dedication to coaching our team are what helped us to live our dream of representing Canada at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. Thank you to John, and all the coaches out there making a difference in athletes lives!

💜 These two have been by my side through it all. The ups, the downs, the in betweens. Most supportive, loving and FUN parents a girl could ever dream of. Love you Mom and Dad! 😘 #mymomisarockstar#mydadismyhero#love#family

Walking into Maracanã Stadium in Brazil for the Opening Ceremonies is a moment I’ll never forget. With my Rio 2016 teammates beside me and the Maple Leaf my back, I’ve never been more proud to represent a strong, united, selfless, and inclusive Country.
In Canada, we compete for more than ourselves. Our athletes showcase that everyday in their training, interactions, and pursuit of excellence in daily life.

They say today is known as Blue Monday - the most depressing day of the year. Although I have my smiling mug showing in this photo, don’t be fooled, we all have our days that are harder than others. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that if you are even in need of someone to talk to - I am here.
I have been told I’m a good listener, and truly do love lending an ear to others and providing support when I can. Even if we don’t know each other well or maybe don’t talk often, know that you have a friend in me whenever you need it. Mental health is SO important. Let’s all continue to raise awareness, end the stigma, and provide judgement-free support for those in need. 💙💙💙💙💙
